Mary M. (Teague) Farkas, 86, of Walpole, Massachusetts passed away October 5th 2010 in her home.
She was born in Toledo, Ohio on October 27, 1923 to Everett and Margaret (Hoehn) Teague. She married Alex T. Farkas (deceased 1993) in 1943.
Mary was a graduate of Libby High School and was involved in many different organizations and clubs throughout her life. She was a Girl Scout Leader, a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority (Modern Mrs. Club) and modeled for clothing stores and WTOL-TV. She was a member of the Altar Guild at Divinity Lutheran Church and a member of First St. John Lutheran Church. She and Al lived in Oklahoma & Louisiana while he was in the Army Air Corps. They settled in Brockton, MA in 1960 and upon retirement in 1988 returned to Oregon, OH. In June, 2009 Mary moved back to Massachusetts to be near her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; daughters, Sandra White of W. Bridgewater, MA., Susan Vicinay of Norwood, MA., son, A. Thomas Farkas (Patti MacKenzie) of Norfolk, MA.; grandchildren, Donnie (Melissa) White of Arlington,MA., Amy White of Brockton, MA., Kerri White of Phoenix, AZ, Christine (Mike) LePage of Raynham, MA., Jennifer Vicinay (Andrew Mazgelis) of Randolph, MA., Suzanne MacKenzie of Foxboro, MA., Jill Tormey of Mansfield, MA., and Alex Farkas of Norfolk, MA.; great grandchildren, Emma and Joshua White and Logan MacKenzie; sister, Martha Myers of Oregon, OH; brothers, Dr. Robert Teague of Tempe, AZ, Kenneth Teague of Grove City, OH and David Teague of Toledo, OH.
Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Oregon on Sunday, October 10th from 4:00-8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be conducted 10:30 am Monday at First St. John Lutheran Church 2471 Seaman Road, Toledo. Interment will follow at Allen Township Cemetery, Williston. A bereavement lunch will be served at church immediately following the committal services at the cemetery.
