Mary Ann French, 83, of Oregon, OH passed away Thursday, March 15th in Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The youngest daughter of Antal and Rozalia (Varga) Komives, she was born November 3, 1923 in Lorain, Ohio. Mary worked for Save Electric where she was a Union Leader. She enjoyed fishing, cards, and traveling. Aunt Mary was proud of her Hungarian heritage and enjoyed traditional Magyar foods.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Donald French; her parents; brothers, Andrew, Antone, Kalman, Ernest, and Joseph Komives; sisters, Rose Brown and Ann Dandar. Mary is survived by her Godson, Matthew Katona as well as other numerous nephews and nieces in the Komives, Brown and Dandar families.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, March 18th, from 3-8 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Monday, March 19th at 10:00 a.m. and proceed to St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church, 4001 Navarre Avenue for funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
