Mary E. Griffith, 71, of Northwood, Ohio passed away in her home on Friday, November 14, 2003 after fighting a long battle with cancer. Mary was born on January 24, 1932 in Toledo to Russell and Evelyn (Thayer) Mohn. Mrs. Griffith was employed at Positive Beginnings since 1990. She also worked as a secretary for Woodmore Schools for 8 years. Mary was a life member of the Northwood VFW #2984 Ladies Auxillary. She was also active in many local youth organizations. Mary loved to play cards and belonged to several bridge and bunco clubs and enjoyed traveling "Up North". But her true love was her family, especially her grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason and Kyle. Surviving are her loving husband, Donald; daughters, Michelle Griffith Glazer and Pamela Griffith O'Connell; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jason and Kyle; brothers, Lorin, Dick and Jim Mohn; sisters, Edie Felhaber and Jean Keaton. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Billy Mohn. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 3:00 pm in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH where family and friends may visit on Saturday from 6 to 9 pm and Sunday 2-9 p.m. Interment will be in Lake Township Cemetery. Contributions in Mary's memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Chemotherapy nurses at the Toledo Hospital Outpatient Oncology Clinic, and Drs Garth Phibbs and Josephine Collaco for their loving care of Mary.
