Mary Judith (Weier) Krantz, 82, lifelong resident of Toledo, passed away Saturday, December 13, 2003 at Orchard Villa Nursing Home. She was born in Toledo on September 29, 1921. Mary was a graduate of Libbey H.S. and employed at Woolworth's as a baker. Her many memberships include Peace Lutheran Church, St. Lucas Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 531 and VFW Post 3338 Woman's Auxiliary, PTA, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Mary also enjoyed gardening, collecting spoons and being around animals. Surviving are her sons, David, Toledo and Roger (Susan), Cincinnati, OH; daughters, Shar (Stan) Porier, Cornelia, GA and Mary (Ken) South, Williston, OH; grandchildren, Matt, Mike and Katie Krantz, Heather (Tom) DenUyl, Todd (Amy) Krantz, Gretchen, Brinn and Cassie Krantz; greatgrandchildrten, Austin and Mya Krantz and Zachary and Jaden DenUyl; nieces, Sue Kroetzer, Karen Nagel and Nancy Miller and brother-in-law, Gene (Helen) Krantz. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Howard. Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Monday, December 15, 2003 from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
