Busy Hands…now still. Tiny fingers first held onto hands of parents Frantisek and Vincentia as she joined the Hlubik family in 1927.
Hands that would pray the rosary, grow roses, decorate cakes, cradle, craft,
clap.
She lovingly made impossibly delicious Slovak pastries, favorite meals, beaded and crystal Christmas ornaments, and even a prom dress that sparkled.
Her hands defined her role as a homemaker in the best sense. She made a home for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Joseph, sisters, Eva Bollinger and Ann Kovesdi, brother, Frank Hlubik.
Cherishing her memory are her children, Patrick Lucas, Mary (Bob) Hertzfeld, Karen (John) Tscherne; grandson, Brian Tscherne; great grandsons, Lucas and Logan Tscherne; precious niece, Carolyn Faust, and many nieces and nephews.
And so just after midnight on July 6, 2022 during a beautiful lightning storm, her stairway to heaven was brilliantly lit, and God called her home.
Services were private as she wished. Donations may be made to Epiphany of the Lord Parish or to Hospice of northwest Ohio. Arrangements by Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel.
