Mary E. Nichols, 72, of Oregon, Ohio passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday, October 6, 2018. She was born in Tennessee to Harvey and Adeline (Holifield) Rollins. Shortly after finishing high school she would marry the love of her life, Raymond Nichols Jr. on April 21, 1966 who would precede her in death. She worked at Hunts-Wesson for over 20 years before retiring. Mary was a member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Mary adored all of her four legged companions throughout her years. She was a member of Local 911, enjoyed bargain shopping and gardening. What Mary loved most was the holidays she spent with all of her family. Although our hearts are filled with sadness in her passing, they are also filled with all of the unconditional love she gave us. We will miss her dearly. Mary is survived by her sons, Matthew (Tina) Nichols, Lance (Sarah) Nichols; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna, Wanda; and brother, Ernie. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 50 years, Raymond; son Ray; and brothers, Timothy and James. The family will receive friends at Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 2-8 pm with Rosary Services at 5:00 pm. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Mary's name may be directed to, Toledo Humane Society.
