Mary M. Ott, 78, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 20th 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Mary was born in Toledo, Ohio on June 27, 1934 to George and Grace (Dankoff) Thompson. Mary was a graduate of Waite High School, and earned both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education from the University of Toledo. On August 10, 1957, she married Richard Ott. For over 25 years, Mary taught fifth grade at Lake Elementary School, retiring in 1994. She enjoyed traveling to Florida, was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed bowling on the Eastern Traveling Bowling League. She was a longtime member of Calvary Lutheran Church. Her true passion was spending time with her husband Richard, children, and grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richard; children, Michael Ott, Mary Serra, and George Ott; daughter-in-law, Amy Ott- Jesko; grandchildren, Jessica, George 'œTony', Lucas, Christopher, and Kane; and great-granddaughter, Lexy Grace. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George Thompson. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Thursday, January 24th 2013 from 2:00 pm -8:30 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 25 2013 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
