Mary Ann Smith, 77, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 28, 1947 to Calvin and Mary (Latta) Smith. Mary Ann graduated from The Ohio State School for the Blind. She worked at Power Train for several years before working at The Sight Center. She was a past member of St. Louis Catholic Church serving in Altar Society, past member of St. Lucy Society where she served as President for 3 years. She was also the coordinator of the InnerVision Group for the Blind for over 20 years. Mary Ann's social group was ever growing. She was always meeting new people and keeping up with all their activities, but what she cherished most was her loving family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Mary Ann is survived by her son, Keith (Heather) Smith; granddaughters, Sophie (Ben Carr) Smith, Amelia and Etta Smith; brother-in-law, Marshall Pfoutz; nieces Michelle Pfoutz, Cindy (Mick) Bussdieker; and many cherished friends, especially, Ginny Place and Verlie Hart. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Linda Pfoutz.

Friends and family may visit Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio 43616 on Thursday, August 15, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, August 16, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
