IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Ann
Stratman
March 22, 1927 – October 11, 2022
Mary Ann Stratman died peacefully in her daughter's home on October 10th at the age of 95, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Mary Ann is survived by her two daughters, Rebecca (Joseph) Hoeflinger, Nancy (Frank) Mihalik, grandchildren, Patrick (Kristina) Hoeflinger, Stacy (Russell) Sutton, Nathan (Kristie) Hoeflinger, Susan (Steve) Whitlow, Emily (Steve) Nixon, and David (Kara) Mihalik. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim, her sister, Ginny, and her parents.
Mary Ann was born in 1927 in Latonia, KY to parents, Frank and Catherine LeFort. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim Stratman, in 1946 and gave birth to two daughters. In 1960, they moved to Toledo when her husband was transferred as an employee of the Standard Oil Company of Ohio. As a devoted wife and loving mother and grandmother, Mary Ann served her family in many ways. An excellent cook, amazing seamstress, cake decorator, cookie baker, babysitter, and prayer warrior, Mary Ann (Mema) could do it all.
Throughout her life, Mary Ann continued to attend church services with friends at Intersection Church. She was a model Christian woman that always served others first, both her natural family and her church family. She loved attending her weekly prayer group, church seniors' group, and co-leading the lady's bible study.
Mary Ann's love for the Lord never wavered, even as her health deteriorated. She still loved her time of worship and enjoyed listening to her favorite TV preachers share the word of God. Mary Ann was an amazing woman, a beautiful Christian, and the apex of a humble servant of Jesus Christ. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
