Mary P. Thomas, 89, formerly of Toledo passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2010 in the home of her daughter in Oregon. Mary was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 22, 1921 to Louis and Sophie (Kostyu) Bartha. Mrs. Thomas was a 1938 graduate of Waite High School. She was the widow of Samuel Thomas Jr. who preceded her in death in 2006. Mary had been employed as a clerk for both JC Penney and Baumgartner Plumbing before her retirement. Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Duane) Hubaker, Stephanie (Allen) Sweet, Andrea (James) Myers; son Samuel (Carol) Thomas; grandchildren, Kristin (Joe) Wotring, Jason (Becky) Sweet, Brian Sweet, Philip (Kelli) Thomas, Jill Dusseau, Aaron Myers; great grandchildren, Anthony Sweet, Christopher Sweet, Samuel Wotring, Jordan Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth Urbanski, Julia Kovach, Sophie Ambrose, Helen Nagy; brother, Louis Bartha, grandson in law, Joe Dusseau. There will be no visitation and services will be private. Expressions of sympathy in Mary'™s memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
