Mary Alice Wallace, 83, of Millbury, Ohio passed away on May 12, 2025 at Majestic of Perrysburg. She was born on December 6, 1941 to Wishard and Ethel (Crace) Watson.
Mary was a gifted cook and baker, known for her remarkable ability to create anything from scratch with love and care. Whether it was a warm loaf of bread, a perfectly seasoned meal, or a batch of homemade pies, her kitchen was a place of comfort and joy for all who gathered there. A woman of deep faith, she was devoted to the Bible and carried a profound love for Jesus that guided every aspect of her life. Her commitment to her family was unwavering, and her home was filled with the warmth of her faith and hospitality. She was a cherished member of Athens Missionary Baptist Church, where she found strength, community, and purpose in worship and service.
Mary is survived by her children, Kimberly Schacht, Ken (Mellissa) Massie, Teri (David) Contreras, John R. Wallace III, and George Wallace; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and siblings, Harold, Avon, Brenda and Rosie.
She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, John Wallace; beloved son, Mark J. Wallace; son-in-law, Donnie Schacht; and several brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Friday, May 16, 2025, from 11 a.m. until the start of funeral services at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
