Mary Beth Young , 71 of Northwood ,Ohio and formerly of Sandusky, Ohio passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at Orchard Villa Nursing and Rehab, Oregon, Ohio. Mary was born in Sandusky, Ohio on May 28, 1948 to George and Constance (Frey) Hartlaub. She was a 1967 graduate of Sandusky High School. She was a Registered Nursing Assistant working for Edgewood Nursing Home, Port Clinton, Ohio from 1988 until retiring in 2012. In her spare time she enjoyed writing short stories, and reminiscing of spending time at North Bass Island as a child. Surviving are her daughters, Rhonda S. Young and Diane M. Thrumphour; grandson, Robert (Tia) Siegel; great-grandchildren, Aiden & RJ; siblings, Raymond Hartlaub, dale (Gidget) Hartlaub, Cindy (Kevin) Keiser; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, David Hartlaub. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at 10:30 am in the Oakland Cemetery, 2917 Milan Road, Sandusky, Ohio.
