Maryellen Starkey, 86, of Northwwod, OH passed away on Friday, December 25, 2009 in the Toledo Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 26, 1923 to Robert and Marie (Hinkley) Fox. Maryellen graduated from Waite High School and was employed by Peoples Savings as a teller for 18 years and White Tower Restaurants as a clerk for 8 years. She was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian church where she served as past Sunday school teacher, Circle Leader, Deacon, Trustee and Elder. Maryellen also was active with the Church Women's Association and the Golden Gang Senior Group. Surviving are her children, Sandra (Dennis) Kayden of Fremont, OH, Stanley Starkey of Chelsea, MI and John (Jennifer) Starkey of Oregon, OH; grandchildren, Todd (Beth) Starkey, Chad (Mara) Starkey, Kirk (Melissa) Kayden, Kevin (Kelly) Kayden and Michael Starkey; great-grandchildren, Tanner, Cameron, Quinn, Jack, Sarah, Will, Maddie, Kourtney and Kooper, She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stanley; great-grandson, Drew and daughter-in-law, Sue. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 9 pm in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S.Coy Road at Starr Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am with interment following in Lake Township Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Eastminster Presbyterian Church or the American Cancer Society
