Matthew David Winckowski, 22, of Oregon, Ohio passed away suddenly Monday, February 18, 2008 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. He was born on November 22, 1985 to David and Kimberly (Grzywinski) Winckowski.   Matt was employed as a forklift driver with Saia Trucking Company and assisted his father with Daves Cleaning Services for many years.  He was attending Owens Community College, looking forward to graduating in May, 2008 with an Associates Degree in Commercial Arts. He played Golf, Baseball and Football at Clay High School prior to his graduation in 2004.  Matt enjoyed music, cars and was a computer wiz.  His interests also included weight lifting, travel & sunshine.  He loved life, his family, his Grandmothers home cooking and especially having fun with his friends. He had a special passion for his family pets, Belly girl, Birch, Monk, CoCo Puff and Bunny.  Matt was looking forward to watching his brother, Casey play for the Owens Community College baseball team.  Matt will always be remembered by his laughter, heartwarming smile and great sense of humor.  He will be missed by his special friends, Zach, Aaron, Josh and Nick.  Matt will be remembered and deeply missed by his loving parents, Dave and Kim Winckowski; brother, Casey J.;  grandparents, James and Gerrie Grzywinski; uncle, James (godmother, Kelley) Grzywinski;  great aunts/uncles, Tom (Sharon) Grzywinski, Joan (Donald) Kornowa and Susie (Bill) Ziegler; cousins, Jody and Jamie Grzywinski, Shelly (Andy) Dionyssiou, godfather, Scott (Lillie) Winckowski, Lee (Dave) McAllister,  Jennifer (Tim) Gallagher, Stephanie (Geoff) Vansickle, Donny Kornowa, Ryan (Heather) Kornowa, and a host of loving cousins,  Lauren, Courtney, Logan, Madison, John, Lydia, Grace, Jack, Mark, Lindsay, Kelley, and Brian.  He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Bessie Winckowski, great-grandparents, Stella and Vince Zaleski and Nellie and Anthony Grzywinski; uncles and aunts, Dennis and Janice Winckowski and Janie Winckowski Grover.  Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel on Thursday from 2-9 pm.  Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 8:15 am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 9:00 am in St. Ignatius Church.  Interment will take place in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
