Maxine C. Holmes, 82, passed away on October 24, 2011. She was born on March 7, 1929 to Willis and Grace (Thomson) Floyd. Maxine was a manager for Tiedtke'™s Department Store for 12 years. She was also a waitress for Bayshore and Ritz Supper Club. Maxine loved her family, cooking, gardening and traveling with her husband. Maxine is survived by her children, Theresa Jurrus, Don (Karen), Bill (Laurie); Grandchildren, Mickey Gill, Jeff (Sally) Jurrus, Craig (Katie Fleitz) Holmes, Eric Holmes, Brandy Holmes, Danielle Holmes, Great-grandchildren Alie Lozinski, Austin Lozinski, Abby Gill, Alaina Gill, Josh Jurrus, Luke Jurrus; brother, John Floyd. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Sr., parents, 7 siblings. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Friday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park.
