Megan Marie Widmer, age 40, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away at home on August 30, 2026. She was born on September 27, 1985, in Toledo, Ohio, to Allan and Denise (Meminger) Widmer.

Megan was someone who brought an unmistakable energy wherever she went. Strong, spirited, and full of personality, she lived life on her own terms and had a smile that could light up an entire room. She genuinely enjoyed meeting people and connecting with those around her, and throughout her work, she encountered people from all walks of life. No matter where she went, Megan had a way of leaving an impression and putting a smile on someone's face.

Above everything else, Megan treasured the people she loved. Spending time with her children, family, and friends meant the world to her, and some of her happiest moments were simply being surrounded by those closest to her. She especially enjoyed working out with her sister, swimming, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and Notre Dame, watching a good horror movie, and eating anything spicy. Megan had a great sense of humor and believed in enjoying life to its fullest.

Left to cherish Megan's memory are her mother, Denise Widmer; children, Michael Fizer, Machyla Widmer, and Edward Young; grandmother, Marilyn Zeigler; grandfather, Daniel Meminger; sisters, Melissa Widmer and Cecily Curtis; brothers, Sean Curtis and Guy Luda; nieces and nephews, Trae Widmer, Devon Bailey, Dominic & Luca Miller, Leland Miller, and Cevona Bailey; partner, Daniel Baum; special friend, Brad Young; and many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Allan Scott Widmer.

Megan's life was far too short, but the love, laughter, and memories she leaves behind will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be remembered for her strength, her contagious smile, her sense of humor, and the vibrant spirit that made Megan simply Megan. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 6, 2026 from 2:00 - 8:00 PM at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Megan's memory are asked to consider the family to help with final expenses.
