Melva L. Edwards, 80, formerly of Northwood, OH, passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at her current home in Hubbell, Michigan. Mrs. Edwards was born on May 25, 1924, in Perrysburg, Ohio, to Oscar and Vara Spohn. She was the widow of Frank Edwards. Melva was employed for many years as a custodian for St. Clemons Catholic Church in Warren, MI. Surviving are her daughters, Linda Horndt of Warren, MI, Anita (Ron) Messner of Hubbel; daughter-in-law, Judy Edwards of Northwood, OH; sister, Helen Loga; brothers, Oscar, Dennis, Al and John Spohn; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Raymond Edwards. Friends and family may visit from 2 until 9 p.m. on Friday, March 11, 2005, in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road where funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
