Melvin "Price" Hall, 83, of Walbridge, OH passed away May 12, 2007, in Genoa Care Center. He was born in Florence, Alabama on June 7, 1923, to Pearl (South) and Charles Hall. Melvin was employed by the Toledo Police Department for 29 years, retiring as Lieutenant in 1975. He was selected as policeman of the year in 1970. After retiring he served as a courier for MidAm Bank. Melvin was a WWII Army Air Corp veteran and a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church where he sang in the church choir. He also was a member of the FOP, American Legion Post # 512, Knights of Columbus, and the Toledo Police Command Officers Association. Surviving are his sons, David and James (Karen) Hall; daughter, Kathleen (David) Lindsey; sister-in-law, Shirley Hall and special friend, Helen Settelmeyer. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Melvin was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Phyllis and brother, Thomas. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, on Monday from 2-9 p.m. Services will begin in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. and proceed to St. Jerome Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery.
