Melvin E. Paige, 82, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Arbors of Oregon. Melvin was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 12, 1928 to William and Cecelia (England) Paige. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Paige retired from Ford Motor Company in 1994 after 27 years of service. He was a life-time member of the V.F.W. Post #2510. He is survived by his brother, Nathan (Shirley); sister, Shirley (Leroy) Madison; half-brother, William Paige; step-daughter, Geri Sue Root. He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Nate Fitzpatrick; wife, Melba; brother, Harland Fitzpatrick; sister, Dolores Ruble. Family and friends will be received in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 Coy Road on Sunday, July 4, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. until funeral services begin at 1 p.m. Inurnment will take place in Willow Cemetery at a later date.
