Obituary

Meredith Lee Bishop, passed away December 12, 2020, surrounded by her family in her home. Currently no services will be held due to the ongoing pandemic. Meredith was born October 17, 1940 in Toledo, Ohio to Leona (Sailor) and John Holly. However, Meredith spent the majority of her life in Oregon, Ohio where she attended Clay high school in the graduating class of 1958. Some years later she met and married Daniel Bishop, becoming a stay-at-home mother and homemaker. During this portion of her life her and Daniel enjoyed many family camping trips, hockey tournaments, couples bowling, and so much else. Her and Daniel eventually found their love for their winter trips to Florida and Texas. After becoming a grandmother, each month while away she would send a care package full of goodies to each grandchild to show they were not forgotten. Her love for her family and friends was an unconditional love. Meredith loved making art and was extremely talented at it too. She also enjoyed doing crafts with her grandchildren and taking them to Maumee Bay State Park and Pearson Park. She was a proud and active member of the Blessed Sacrament parish and member of the Blessed Sacrament choir for many years. She is survived by her husband Daniel Bishop, sons Rick (Anne) and Jeffrey (Donna) Devore, daughter Lisa Smith (Devore) (Shane), step-children Perry, Tracy, and Todd Bishop, grandchildren Jack Devore, Hayden Smith, Erica Devore, and Katie Smith. Any donations can be made to the Blessed Sacrament choir.
