Michael S. Bartko Jr., 93, of Toledo, passed away Monday, October 31, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 4, 1918 to Michael Sr. and Barbara (Hritz) Bartko. Michael was employed with LOF as a glass cutter for 34 years. He played softball for Holy Rosary and St. Stephen Parish, and enjoyed golf and bowling. He was a veteran of the US Air Force during World War II. In October 2001, Michael was inducted to the Birmingham Hall of Fame. Michael is survived by his son, Michael (Sandra) Bartko III; 5 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brother, Edward and sisters, Ethel and Mary. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Caroline; sisters, Helen and Margaret, and brother, Joseph. Interment will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Kinsey-Pavley Funeral Home has assisted the family with arrangements.
