Michael J. Danko Jr., 65, of Toledo, Ohio, died peacefully, Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center. Michael was born March 5, 1959, in Oregon, Ohio, to Michael and Juanita (Purtee) Danko Sr. He was employed with Hunt-Wesson Foods and retired from Great Lakes Window. Michael treasured the time spent with his family, taking numerous camping trips and vacations throughout the country. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed growing tomatoes and the hottest jalapenos in East Toledo!

Michael is survived by his mother, Juanita Danko; children, Michael Danko III and Melissa (Robert) Schumann; grandchildren, Kelsey, Riley, Maddison, Ava, Kaine, Al, Destiny, and Nick; great-grandchildren, Easton & Amelia; siblings, Jeffrey (Laura), Steve (Rhonda), Dennis (Brenda), and Dawn (Jimmy) McCown; along with many loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father and niece, Nikki.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Friday, August 9, 2024, from 2:00 pm until funeral service at 6:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the Toledo Humane Society. Michael's children wish to give a special thank you to his brother, Jeff for his help & support over the past years. As Michael would famously say, " See you later, dumb ass."
