Michael Robert Haynes, 57, of Jerusalem Township, Ohio passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. Michael was born in Oregon, Ohio on August 5, 1956 to Ronald and Joyce (Pohlman) Haynes. He graduated from Lake High School in 1974 and from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor'™s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He had been employed by Motor City and Hooper Corporation for many years. Michael was an Army veteran and a member of the IBEW Local 245. Some of his hobbies included dancing, scuba diving, cooking, gardening and fishing. He was a fan of sports, especially the Detroit Redwings.
Surviving are his wife, Connie (Fern) Haynes; mother, Joyce Haynes; son, Michael John Haynes; step-children, Jason and Tracey Shope; sisters, Terry Haynes-Toney, Shelly (Ronald) Seprodi, Paula Baker and her significant other, Cyril Coutcher; Brother-in-laws, John, Daniel and James Fern; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and close friend, Frank Tomsic. He was preceded in death by his father; daughter, Libby Rae Haynes; and grandparents, Homer and Lucille Haynes and Robert and Ruth Pohlman.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday, January 5 from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday January 8 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
