Michael J. Methena, 62, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Promedica Toledo Hospital. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 30, 1961 to John W. and Carol J. (Bender) Methena Sr. After graduating from Clay High School, Mike proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his service, he worked as Truck Driver for Garner Trucking. He was a NASCAR and Dale Earnhardt fan, enjoyed golfing, cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes and vacationing with friends from the service.

Mike is survived by his sisters, Diana Chasteen, Kathy Chasteen Beth (Bob) Curavo; brother, Jim (Melanie) Sharp; and loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Ben, Bill, Terry, Jim, John; and sister, Judy Kohli.

The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. until the time of Military Honors at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be directed to Toledo Humane Society or Charity of Donor's Choice. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
