Michael E. Peterson, 61, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 30, 1955 to James and Margot (Penhorwood) Peterson. On August 24, 1979, he married the love of his life, Kathy Judy. For 38 years, Michael worked as a warehouse supervisor for M & M Restaurant Supply, retiring in 2013. He enjoyed fishing and cooking for his family and friends at VFW Post # 4906. His true passion was spending time with his family; especially his children and grandchildren. Michael is survived by his wife of 38 years, Kathy; parents, James and Margot Peterson; children, Amanda ( Lee) Thomas, Michael ( Samantha) Peterson II, Christina Peterson; Derek ( Samantha Daniels) Peterson; grandchildren, Jordan, Kailynne, Mayhana, Kaydence, Aidan, Julian, Brandan, Gracie, Jaxin; brothers, James ( Shonna) Peterson II, Scott ( Carolyn) Peterson, Mark ( Angela) Peterson; brothers-in-law, Dana ( Roseann) Judy and Ronald ( Kathleen) Judy; sister-in-law, Denise ( Joe Hernandez) Judy; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Douglas Peterson and father-in-law & mother-in-law, Charles and Kathleen Judy. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road from 2:00 pm until time of funeral service at 7:00 pm.
