Michael E. Plodzik, 60, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by loved ones. Michael was born on February 11, 1956, in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Edward and Iona (Riggs) Plodzik. Mike was a veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid sportsman enjoying the outdoors hunting, fishing, and boating. Mike was known to be a handy and versatile person who will be remembered for his big heart, unselfishness and ingenuity.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Theresa Martinez Plodzik; mother, Iona Plodzik; children, Jennifer (Raymond) Martinez-Allen, Bryan Plodzik, Megan (Luke) Swiden; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Sophia and Timmy; siblings, Josephine, Mary, John (Lori), James, Walter, Ronald, Douglas, Thomas, Leonard, Dana; along with many loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Edward; brother, Eddie; son, Jason.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm, where a scripture service will be held at 3:00 pm and sharing of memories at 5:00 pm. Funeral services will begin Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 8:45 am with prayers in the funeral home and proceed to Epiphany of the Lord Parish– St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 729 White Street, Toledo for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.
