Michael E. Scott Sr., 64, of Oregon, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 18, 1947 to Norman and Kathryn (Smith) Scott. Mike was a graduate of the former Macomber High School and the Millwright School of Kansas State University. Michael served his country as a United States Marine during Vietnam. On November 16, 1968, he married Shelly Heckert. He worked as a millwright for Nabisco for 32 years, retiring in 2004. In later years, he was employed with Flying J and Giant Eagle. He enjoyed fishing during the walleye run and attending his grandchildren'™s sporting events. His true passion was spending time with his loving wife, Shelly. Michael is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shelly; children, Michael (Allison Scott) Jr., Thomas (Tonya) Scott, Beverly (Mike) Gallup: parents, Norman and Kathryn; grandchildren, Derek 'œ Hey Ol Bud', Paulie 'œMarvin', Amanda 'œSweetie', Alivianna 'œSweetie': sister, Norma Kay Bedee: nephews, Joey, Bobby, Greg, Ronnie, Robbie, and Doug. Mike is also survived by many loving family members. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Scott.
