Michael E. "Smokey" Smolenski, Sr., 59, of Toledo, OH passed away February 22, 2005 in Bay Park Community Hospital. He was born in Toledo, OH to Edward and Mildred (Crevison) Smolenski on April 11, 1945. Smokey had formerly been employed by Supreme Bumper and Plating. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and was a past member of the Maumee Valley Coon Hunters Association.
Surviving are his wife of 38 years, Charlotte Ann (Schroeder); children, Michael E. Smolenski Jr., Michelle L.(Michelle Barbier) Smolenski and Edward J. Smolenski; special grandchildren, Samantha "Boopie", Jayson and Justyn Smolenski; sisters, Patti, Becky and Pamela; close friends, Libbey and Missy. His parents, brother, William and sister, Jackie, preceded Smokey in death.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2005 from 2-9 p.m. in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the family will be appreciated.
