IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael R.
Wilk
January 28, 1988 – August 12, 2025
Michael R. Wilk, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on August 12, 2025, at the age of 37. Born on January 28, 1988, Michael was known for his heart of gold, his deep love for family, and his remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met.
Michael had a playful spirit and a special way of bonding with the younger members of his family, especially his nieces, nephews, and cousins. His quick wit, genuine kindness, and unwavering loyalty made him someone everyone was proud to know.
A proud and devoted Eastsider, Michael held a deep loyalty to his home and community. He graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 2006 and remained a lifelong supporter of the school and its mission.
Michael was an avid sports fan with a special devotion to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Cleveland Indians. He never missed a game and could often be found cheering enthusiastically for his teams, whether in person, on the radio, or in front of a screen. His encyclopedic knowledge of sports facts, history, and memorable moments was unmatched.
More than anything, Michael cherished his relationships. He remembered every birthday and milestone and made it a point to reach out, often just to say hello or check in. His memory was sharp, his heart full, and his presence unforgettable.
Michael is survived by his loving parents, Barbara Boyle (Joe) Dianda and John Wilk; his sister, Stephanie (Erik Somers) Wilk; and his stepbrothers, J. Michael (Megan) Dianda and Jordan (Heather) Dianda. He was a devoted uncle to CeCe Somers, Lena and Lucy Dianda, and Jack Somers, Maddox, Marchal, and Jackson Dianda. He is also survived by his grandmother, Jane Wilk, and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Jim and Emily Boyle ("Poppy" and "Yaya"), his grandfather Michael A. Wilk, his Aunt LeeLee Boyle, and his Uncle Doug Kampfer.
