Michael S. Zajacz, 53, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in his home on September 2, 2016. He was born on March 4, 1963 in Oregon, Ohio to John and Anna Mae (Hornyak) Zajacz. Michael graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1981 and went on to work as an installer for Tele-Source. Michael was a very faithful member of Epiphany of the Lord Parish-St. Stephens Catholic Church. He enjoyed volunteering at church whether it was for the festivals, baking or cooking. He also served as a Eucharistic Minister for the choir for several years. Michael also loved playing his computer games and occasionally poking fun at his brothers' favorite team, the Cleveland Clowns aka Browns. He was a simple man that had a deep faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Michael is survived by his brother, John Zajacz; sister, Anne Zajacz; aunts, Rosemary (Steve) Vamos, Virginia Molnar; uncles, Joseph (Carol) Hornyak, Tom (Laila Kujala) Hornyak; and numerous cousins and other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; and uncle, Elmer Molnar.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with Rosary services at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at Epiphany of the Lord Parish – St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 1880 Genesee, Toledo, Ohio at 11:00 a.m. where the family will begin greeting friends at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Those wishing an expression of sympathy in Michael's name are asked to consider Epiphany of the Lord Parish, or American Diabetes Association.
