IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michele A.
Stanton
April 6, 1958 – September 4, 2022
A woman of great faith and courage made the transition from this life to the next one. It is with deep sadness and much love that the family of Michele (Lane) Stanton announces her passing on September 4, 2022, at the age of 64.
Michele was born on April 6, 1958 to Raymond K. (Rocky) Jr. and Darlene (Dayton) Lane in Toledo, Ohio. She graduated from Clay High School in 1976. Michele then met the love of her life, Brad Stanton, and they soon married. After Brad's service in the Marine Corps, Michele, Brad, and their daughter Jackie returned to the Toledo area, where Michele was employed at The Toledo Blade for many years.
The simplest pleasures in life brought such great joy to Michele. She loved quiet evenings watching paranormal shows or anything to do with home repairs. Michele enjoyed catching up with friends and family and could often be found with a cup of hot tea, Bloody Mary, or glass of Moscato in her hand. Michele had an amazing sense of humor and loved to share funny texts and posts from social media. She made the best deviled eggs around. Michele especially loved organizing anything she could get her hands on, making lists, and taking care of others. These are all traits she has passed on to her daughter Jackie, who was truly her best friend and they have grown so close over the past few years.
Memories of Michele's life will be cherished by her mother, Darlene Lane, daughter Jacqueline Stanton, brother Michael (Sharlynn) Lane, sister-in-law Diane Stanton; nieces Amanda (Marcus) Matyi and Jennifer Stanton; nephew, Jordan (Emily) Lane; as well as her aunts, uncles, cousins and many other loved ones. Michele was preceded in death by her husband Brad, father Rocky, and both sets of grandparents.
Michele's multiple battles with serious medical issues over the past several years showed her strength in facing life challenges with a smile. Michele will be dearly missed by her family and friends and the loss of her presence will leave a void in their hearts. Everyone who knew Michele felt her big heart and giving nature.
