Michelle Lyn Sharif-Anderson, 42, of Toledo, passed away on Saturday, November 13, 2010. Michelle has been working for the past ten years as an Eligibility Specialist for Lucas County Job and Family Services. She was an avid gardener and reader who was happiest on her knees working in the dirt in her garden. Michelle loved to travel. She was member of the OI Foundation, Book Crossings, Frugal Reader, The Seed Exchange and the ASCME Union. She was past Grand Representative of Germany in Ohio for the International Order of Rainbow Girls and also a Past Worthy Advisor. She was a 1987 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School and a 1992 graduate of the University of Toledo. Michelle was formerly a member of New Hope United Methodist Church in Rawson, Ohio as well as a former member and leader in 4H.
Michelle is survived by her husband, Gregory V. Anderson; mother, E. Charlene (Cookson) Brock of Rawson, Ohio; brother, Eric M. (Kaci) Brock; niece, Elizabeth Rose Brock; and beloved dogs, Maxwell and Rocko.
Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, November 19, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at the Masonic Temple, State Route 235, Mt. Cory, Ohio. Luncheon will follow. Memorial contributions can be directed to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Elizabeth Brock Educational Fund.
