Mildred M. Collier, 68, of Toledo, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family August 29th, 2009, after a long battle with heart disease. She was born in Toledo, Ohio August 1, 1941, to James and Mary (Longshore) Close. Over the years she volunteered her time and support to the Waite High Marching Band and Glassmen Drum and Bugle Corps, along with the Winterguard. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Cyndi (Tim) Koehle, Cherie Quintanilla, Chris (Paul) Lemke; grandchildren, Nikki, Sarah, Mariah, James Jr., Dorien, and Matthew. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert G. Collier; parents; brothers, Chuck and Bill Close, and son, Robert G. Collier Jr. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
