Mildred 'œTootie' Cowell, 92, of Oregon, Ohio passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Orchard Villa Nursing Home. She was born January 1, 1920 to Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Myers in Toledo. Mildred was a 1938 graduate of Waite High School and was a member of the band. She was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for over 45 years. Mildred enjoyed playing bingo and was a huge OSU fan.
Mildred is survived by her children, Beverly (Butch) Wamer, Judy Sutter, Diane (Pat) Flanagan, Norm (OK), Marvin II 'œZip', and Larry Cowell. She had several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Cleo; brothers, Harold and Ray; son-in-law, Bill Sutter; children, James A. Cowell and Linda Cowell-Bollinger.
Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at North Oregon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Mildred'™s family would be greatly appreciated. Very special thanks to the whole Orchard Villa staff and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care given to Mildred. Also special thanks to her grandchildren, Brandi, Brittany, Fred, Marvin and Angie.
