Mildred (Millie) Irene Saunders, formerly of Northwood, Ohio, passed away at the age of 98 on January 4, 2022 at Spring Meadow Retirement Community. Mildred was born August 5, 1923 to Irene and Raymond French. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clyde (Junior) Saunders; daughter, Connie L. Szepiela; son-in-law, Donald Szepiela; son, Clyde Daniel Saunders; son-in-law, Charles Pate; brother, Robert French; and sister-in-law, Lucille French. She worked for Franklin Ice Cream for several years then became a member of the True Value Hardware Store Team and worked there for 25 years. Mildred is survived by her daughters, Barbara (Jeff) Scheibel, Donna (Stephen) Albanese, Linda (Shad) Rader and Susan Pate; grandchildren, Todd (Teresa) Scheibel, Derrick (Holly) Szepiela, Ryan (Erin) Szepiela, Eric (Andrea) Rader, Patrick (Amanda) Pate, Joshua (Tammy) Saunders, Sean (Erin) Saunders and Kent (Nicole) Saunders. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, Zachary and Andrew Szepiela, Dylan, Nolan and Callan Szepiela, Quinn and Lily Rader, Logan Saunders and Jordan and Ryker Pate. Private graveside services will be held at Lake Township Cemetery. A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
