Mildred G. Hancock, 95, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Mildred was born in Oregon Township, Ohio on December 2, 1920 to Louis and Julia (Joehlin) Meyer. In 1945, she married James "Wes" Hancock and enjoyed 52 years of marriage together. Mildred was an active member of First St. John Lutheran Church. Her true passion was spending time with her family. Mildred is survived by her grandchildren, Krista (John) Wetzel, Jennifer (Jay) Suvak, and Paul Schmidlin; great-grandchildren, Julia, Jason, James and Karl; and brother, Donald Meyer. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and daughter, Elaine Kraynik. Private family services will be held. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to First St. John Lutheran Church or James "Wes" Hancock Oregon Senior Center. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
