Mildred B. Moran, 82, of Toledo, OH, died on Wednesday, January 15, 2003 in her home. She was born on September 18, 1920 in Malinta, OH to Menno and Mable (Fackler) Bailey. Mildred was a graduate of Malinta Grelton High School, Lucas County Hospital Nursing School and the University of Toledo. She was employed as a supervisor in the out-patient clinic and emergency room of the Lucas County Hospital.
Mildred also worked at Defiance Hospital and was an industrial nurse with American Motors. She was active with the Trinity Episcopal Church Altar Guild as Directress, past president of the Womans Auxiliary of the Toledo Lucas County Medical Society, past matron of Yondota Chapter OES, past president of the Harvard School Mothers Club and the mother of two Eagle Scouts.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Joseph P. Moran Jr. M.D.; children, Joseph P. (Patricia) Moran III, of Naples, FL, Richard C. (Carol) Moran of Brooklyn, MI and Mary Lou (Michael) Sage of Catawba Island, OH; sister, Erma Weith; grandchildren, Joseph P. (Carrie) Moran IV, Heather (James) Doll, Audrey (Eric) Cowan, Holly Meter and
Stephanie (John) Denney; 6 great-grandchildren.
There will be no visitation and private interment will take place in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorial funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 15, 2003 at 1:30 pm in Trinity Episcopal Church, Toledo, Ohio. The family suggests that memorial contributions in Mildreds honor be made to the Joseph and Hazel Moran Scholarship
