Mildred R. Murray, 94, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009, in Arbors at Oregon Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on March 24, 1914, in Chillicothe, OH to William and Belle (Quickel) Jacobs. Mildred was a hairdresser for 50 years and worked at many area beauty shops. She was a member of the Rock and Gem Club and enjoyed doll collecting, traveling and gardening. Surviving are her sons, John (Trudy) and Dave Murray; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; son, Douglas; 4 sisters and 1 brother. Honoring Mildred's wishes, cremation will take place and services will be private. Friends and family will be received on Monday from 3-8 p.m. at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH. Memorial contributions in Mildred's name can be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Visitation: Monday, 3-8 p.m.
