Obituary

Mildred Wallace, 84, of Toledo, Ohio passed away July 10, 2011 in her home. She was born in Ashcamp, KY on January 11, 1927 to Guy and Florence (Sykes) Potter. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Ferrell Wallace. Mildred spent her life as a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her garden and enjoyed canning. Mildred was also known for her baking, but her true love was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the devoted mother of 5 daughters, Janis (Tim Spradlin) Ricard, Christine Wallace, Vivian Stage, Francine (James) Weaver, and Jill Pope as well as the doting grandmother of grandchildren, Bill and Matthew Newhouse, Emily Drain, Kari Buffington, Daniel Weaver, Alyssa and Kelsey Pope, and 7 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, William Patton Potter. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Percy and Atlas Potter, and sisters, Junilee Fletcher, Audrey Newberry and Wanda Jo Warren. Friends and family may visit at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Mildred'™s memory can be made to a charity of the donor'™s choice.
