Mildred E. Wright, 72, of Oregon, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 2, 2004. She was born on April 9, 1931, in Columbus, Ohio, to Lewis and Esther Rankey. After graduating from South High School, she married her high school sweetheart, Lloyd Wright on February 23, 1952. The family transferred to Toledo in 1966. For the next thirty years, she was involved with Christian Women's Club where she served in various capacities. It was through CWC that she put her faith in and dedicated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ. Busy raising a family, a talented devoted mother, she also supported her husband in his various church ministries. Her love was the study and teaching of the Bible. Family vacations for 32 years were spent at Word of Life, Schroon Lake, New York. She was dearly loved by her family and will be greatly missed.
Mildred was recently preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wright. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Sue (Brad) Watterworth, Sally (Mike) Agoston and son, Lloyd (Denise) Wright Jr.; grandchildren, Brett, Brooke, Brandon, Brittany, Bethany, Bradley and Breanne Watterworth, Megan Agoston, Jenelle and Caleb Wright; brother, Donald Rankey and sister, Marilyn Gordon, both of Columbus, Ohio, along with many dear friends.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Weldon Davis on Saturday, February 7 at 10:30 a.m. in Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio, where visitation will be Friday from 2-9 p.m. Contributions in Mildred's memory can be made to Word of Life, Schroon Lake, New York, or the Toledo Christian Schools.
