Molly Ann Patchel passed away in the early morning of July 26, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born to Edward and Linda (Jankowski) Rabbitt on May 5, 1975 in Oregon, Ohio. Growing up, Molly showed a talent and love for dance and art. She performed ballet and was in a presentation of The Nutcracker. She liked to draw, paint, and attend classes at the Toledo Museum. Her favorite medium was acrylic. After graduating from Clay High School, Molly entered into the United States Marine Corps, training in Nuclear Biological & Chemical Defense. Her later career included work as a volunteer EMT and line cook at various restaurants. While in the Marines, she met her future husband, Todd, who was also serving. Together, they had five children: Hope, Alec, Jacob, Will, and Bella.
She was a caring mother and her greatest love was for her kids, whom she raised in both Maryland and Virginia. During the summertime, Molly enjoyed coming back to Oregon with her children to visit family. There, her kids would get together everyday with their cousins to swim, play games, and go fishing. This was Molly's favorite time of the year. Despite becoming ill, Molly's enthusiastic personality and love for others remained. She was appreciative of the care shown to her and she showed that same care to others who needed it.
Molly will be forever missed by her children, Alec, Jacob, Will, and Bella; her father, Edward; brothers, Mark and Matthew; and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Molly is preceded in death by her sister, Sara; mother, Linda; and daughter, Hope. Molly's family will be holding a private ceremony for her passing and memory.
