Myra Jane Cannon, 87, of Lake Township, Ohio passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at Genacross Lutheran Services, Toledo Campus. Myra was born March 20, 1930 to Richard and Hazel (Keller) Warns. She graduated from Lake High School in 1948 and married Daniel F. Cannon on October 21, 1950.
She was a hard worker at Bellman Bindery and in all that goes into raising a family. She was an avid reader, loved flowers (especially roses) and having a garden. She was devoted to her family and to her savior. As her family was growing, she was a member of Hayes United Methodist Church in Northwood, active in choir, women's group and Bible study. Later, she attended St. Mark Lutheran Church, Arlington Ave. Lutheran Church and First Alliance Church with her children.
Myra is survived by her children, Joyce (Jim) Cothren, Judy (Rick) Heidebrink, Becky (Michael) Custer and Daniel "Gus" Cannon; grandchildren, Tracey (Bill) Berry, Kim (Jason) Dirkman, Joe (Karen) Heidebrink, Rachel Heidebrink, Bryan (Stephanie) Cannon, Angela (Joe) LaMunyon, Betsy Jo (Brian) DeAnda, Megan Cannon, Emily (Jeff) Morelli and Adriana Cannon; 13 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren: and brother in law, Ronald Huff. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel Cannon; daughter, Brenda Cannon, grandson, Bobby Cannon; and sisters, Nancy Huff and Arlene Richards.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Thursday, January 11, from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Visitation will also be held at Genacross Lutheran Society Chapel, 131 North Wheeling Street, Toledo, Ohio 43605 on Friday, January 12, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Activities and Spiritual Care at Genacross.
