Myron S. Niehousmyer, 87, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014. Myron was born in Genoa, Ohio on September 5, 1926 to Grover and Mabel Niehousmyer. He was a WW II veteran of the US Army. Myron was married to Maxine Perkins until her passing in June, 2012. Myron worked for Matlack trucking as a driver for over 30 years and was a lifelong farmer. He enjoyed deer hunting, cooking, square dancing, and was an avid drummer. Myron enjoyed traveling with Maxine; especially to Germany.
Myron is survived by his sisters, Helen, Edith, and Grace Niehousmyer; niece, Patsy (Herb) Huffer; great nieces, Kimberly (Kevin) Burns and Candice Darr. Myron is also survived by many great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Maxine.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Sunday, June 1, 2014 from 12:00 pm until time of funeral service at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Clay Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Heartland Hospice.
