Nan S. Schneider, 73, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Nan was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 8, 1942 to Robert and Janet (Hunt) McBride. Nan was a graduate of Clay High School where she maintained close friendships with her classmates. For 35 years, Nan was employed with the City of Oregon Wastewater and Parks and Recreation Departments. Nan was a dedicated fan of the Michigan Wolverines and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. In later years, Nan volunteered her time as an Ohio Reads Tutor.
Nan is survived by her sons, Chris (Stefani) Schneider, Mark Lotz, and Greg (Sara) Burnham; grandson, Evan Schneider; siblings, Mary Jo Hanudel, Kaye (Stanley) Tomsic, and Robert (Jan) McBride; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Richard Hanudel and nephew, Gery Tomsic.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Private interment will take place at North Oregon Cemetery.
