Nancy L. Alwood, 74, of Genoa, OH, passed away on January 5, 2007, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She was born in Walbridge, OH, on February 16, 1932, to Floyd and Ruth (Kraus) Fralick. Nancy was employed with Daimler Chrysler for 29 years, retiring March 1, 1997. She was a member of UAW Local 1435 and retirees chapter, Maumee Elks #1850, Fraternal Order of Eagles #197 and Trinity United Methodist Church, Genoa. Nancy lived life to the fullest. Nothing ever stopped her from traveling, dancing and doing her yard work.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Diane (Kevin) Jewell, Perrysburg; son, William (Sana) Dunlap, Elmore; brother, Jerry (Evelyn) Fralick; grandchildren, Rick (Lisa), Holly, Jenni and Adam; great-grandchildren,Ricky, Nikki and Emily and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Alwood and sister, Jean Berger.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., on Monday and Tuesday from 2 until 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. Elks service on Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at Trinity United Methodist Church, 313 Main St., Genoa, on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. The family suggest contributions in Nancy's name may be sent to The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association or Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
