Nancy L. Funk 83, formerly of Monclova, passed away Friday, April 4, 2003 in Orchard Villa Nursing Home. Nancy was born on February 1, 1920 in Westmoreland, Tennessee to Porter and Pernie (Caldwell) Dalton. She was the widow
of Lewis D. Funk who preceded her in death in 2001. Nancy was employed as a nurses aid for over 20 years, working
at many local nursing homes and the Sunshine Childrens Home. She loved gardening, reading, sewing and especially
enjoyed writing poems and songs, some of which she had published.
Survivings are her daughter, Kathy (Joe) Shull; sons, James Funk, Lewis (Jeanne) Funk; Donald (Clara) Michaels; sister, Ophelia Coker; grandchildren, Lisa (Bob) Garza, Bill (Yvonne) Collins, Annette Collins, Jodie Collins, Eric Kennedy,
Nicki Funk, Laurie Funk, Tina Funk, and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Judith Melber; granddaughter, Debra McLaughlin; grandson, Jamie Funk.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 am in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio where visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 9 pm.
