Nancy J. Lewis, 86, of Pemberville, Ohio and formerly of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully July 25, 2018. Nancy was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 20, 1932 to John and Anna (Reiter) Komisarz. On February 19, 1955, Nancy married William Lewis. Mrs. Lewis worked at The Toledo Blade, where she met her husband who worked in the Retail Advertising Department. Nancy worked in the Classified Department for 30 years in many positions including Assistant Supervisor, retiring in 1991. Nancy and her family enjoyed traveling; especially to her favorite city, Chicago. She loved to spend time with her cats, reading, baking, and going shopping with her daughter. Nancy also cared for many animals in her neighborhood and volunteered at the Toledo Zoo Nancy is survived by her daughter, Diane (Steve) Rueter and her cat, Clyde. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Lester Husan; and sister, Virginia Utter. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 7:00pm. Memorials may be directed to the Toledo Zoo, Toledo Humane Society, or the Wood County Humane Society. Nancy's family wishes to thank the wonderful nursing staff at Otterbein Pemberville and her neighbor, Keith Walters, who was always there for her over the years.
