Nancy C. Macek 83, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Monday, February 12, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Nancy was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 25, 1934 to Leonard and Opal (Cordell) Philquist. She graduated from Scott High School and shortly after went on to marry the love of her life Frank Macek on April 20, 1954. Nancy enjoyed cooking, crocheting, traveling and camping. Throughout their years together they enjoyed dancing at many events, especially at the Swiss Club and anytime the opportunity would arise. Nancy was a member and also enjoyed volunteering at Holy Rosary Catholic Church before its closing. The most important thing to her was spending time with her family and friends and all the wonderful memories made together. Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Frank Macek; daughters, Leslie (Tom Stevers) Nadeau, Kelly (Jamie) Spray; grandchildren, Eric, Angela, Mikayla, Austin, Nathan; and great-grandchildren, Peyton and Ethan Macek. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark Macek; brother, Leonard Philquist and Robert Hart. Visitation will be held at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place in the funeral home on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Nancy's name may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
