Nancy A. McDermott, 90, of Walbridge, Ohio passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2021. Nancy was born on October 30, 1930 to Elmer and Sarah Stiehlke. She was happily married to the love of her life, Bob, for more than 50 years when he passed away. Nancy was retired from Riverside Hospital. She and Bob enjoyed many travels and spending time with family. Nancy was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and loved to cheer them on. She loved being on the lake boating and perch fishing. Nancy was a long-time member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and was a dedicated Christian for all her life. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed, especially by her family. Surviving is her brother, Michael Cooper; her children, Carol Ann Lavelle (DuBose), Jeffrey McDermott; grandchildren, Chrissy (Rick) Vail, Michael (Candace) Lavelle, Angela Brown, Chrissy McDermott, Colline McDermott, Sean McDermott, George McAllister, Jamison McAllister, Jessica Perreault; great–grandchildren, Cory (Lynette) Vail, Delaine (Joe) Vail, Dillon (Codie) Vail, Bo Lavelle, Chelsea (Michael) Lewis, Andrew "A.J." (Allyah) Lavelle, Sydnee (Tyler) Shanks, and Skye Lavelle. Nancy was also blessed with great-great grandchildren, Ezekiel Vail, Charlotte Vail, and Aria Lewis. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lois Stiehlke; aunt, Julia, children Robin McAllister and Robert McDermott and best friend Janet. She is reunited with them and her husband Bob. A celebration of her life will be held at a later time in order to allow her daughter to heal from a recent health crisis and be able to attend.
