Nancy Ann (Kovesdi) Pirolli, 86, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 24, 1936 to John and Ann (Hlubik) Kovesdi. Shortly after graduating from Notre Dame Academy, Nancy married the love of her life, James Pirolli, on August 7, 1954. She started her working career as Secretary to the Director of Nursing at St. Charles Hospital. Nancy then continued with St. Charles in Human Resources and ended her 28 years as a typesetter in Graphic Arts. She was a past member of Holy Rosary Church but most recently at St. Ignatius Church. She served on the GM Board of Trustees where she was secretary. Nancy was proud of her heritage and was proud of her service as branch President and Secretary of the senior and junior order for 55 years of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association. She has been a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority since 1955. Nancy enjoyed her BUNCO, Dominoes and Cousins Club. She loved bowling in the Ma and Pa League and her Pinochle Club for 50 years. Nancy had many hobbies including traveling with friends, shopping on HSN and QVC, and decorating extensively for each season and holiday. She loved Christmas, her Christmas tree and picking out special gifts for family and friends. Nancy also enjoyed collecting Precious Moments, reading, crocheting, and Facebook. Her greatest joys in life were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James; daughters, Sandra Cutcher, Deborah Pirolli; sons, James Pirolli Jr., Gary (Pamela) Pirolli; grandchildren, Natalie (Jay) Ramer, Brent (Sarah) Pirolli, Megan (Garth) Fuller, Sarah (Jeremy) Hervey, Eric (Mandie) Pirolli, Jacob (Kelly) Pirolli; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Eli, Isaac, Kaylynn, Alaynna, Avery, and a great-grandson on the way; brother, John (Nina) Kovesdi; sister, Carolyn (David) Faust, many nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Road, Monday, June 20, 2022 from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The family will also greet friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at St. Ignatius Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Expressions of sympathy in Nancy's name may be directed to Our Lady of Toledo Shrine, Oregon, Ohio.
